26 Years of Education, Stewardship & Community
The annual Climb Smart event at Joshua Tree National Park, managed by Friends of Joshua Tree and now in its 26th year, combines education, stewardship, and community to support park conservation. Presentations and programs are offered in partnership with the National Park Service, world-class athletes, and representatives from local tribes.
Climb Smart is a 3-day program led by experienced guides and reputable organizations. Participants choose from a variety of mini-clinics to learn or refresh climbing skills, with top rope climbing available throughout. It's one of the best ways to level up your climbing in a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere.
