Chad grew up near Escondido, California, and has since lived and worked across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Upstate New York, North Carolina, and Colorado before returning to California in 2017. A former outdoor educator and arborist who spent years on tree-based zip-line courses, he's now an AMGA Apprentice Rock Guide who guides across many disciplines and loves the desert and all the creatures that live there.

A former professional dancer turned AMGA Apprentice Rock Guide, born and raised in Michigan.
Cory's climbing journey began at a local gym in Dayton, Ohio, in the 1990s, where he met his adventure mentor and went on to travel the country rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, and backpacking. He's climbed the Wind River Range, the Grand Teton, Gannett Peak, Granite Peak, Mount Whitney, and Mount Rainier — but Joshua Tree remains his favorite place to climb and play, and he loves helping people disconnect from their screens.

A former stunt motorcycle rider who discovered climbing at 30 and never looked back.
Joshua grew up in Southern California and found rock climbing at a local gym in Redlands before heading outdoors to Red Rock, Tahquitz, Big Bear, and Joshua Tree. When he's not guiding, he works as a setter and lead instructor at Hangar18 climbing gym. He's an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, Leave No Trace advocate, holds First Aid and CPR certification, and is working toward becoming a Rock Guide apprentice.
