What is Rappelling?
Rappelling, also known as abseiling, is a controlled descent technique used in climbing, mountaineering, and rescue operations. It involves descending a vertical or near-vertical surface using a rope, rappel device (most commonly used is an ATC) allowing climbers to safely navigate down steep cliffs or rock faces. At Summit Climbing Guides, we emphasize the importance of proper rappelling techniques to ensure safety and efficiency. Our experienced guides teach climbers how to securely attach themselves to the rope, manage friction, and control their speed during the descent. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced climber seeking to refine your skills, our rappelling courses and adventures provide hands-on training in a supportive environment.
