Covid-19 Response and Protocol

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and guides is our top priority. What follows are the safety measures we are taking as we move through this on-going pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 and your scheduled outing please send us a message by clicking here.

Please note these procedures and guidelines are subject to change. Thanks in advance for helping us keep everyone safe and healthy!

Masks

Because we operate outside, we do not require our guides or participants to wear face coverings. However, you are more than welcome to bring and wear a mask or request that your guide wear one.

Social Distancing

Fortunately there is a lot of room to spread out in Los Padres National Forest and Stoney Point! Instruction can be given and safety checks preformed at a safe distance. When situations arise which require being within six feet of our participants, we limit this time to just a few moments.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer will be available in our first aid kits on all of our trips, but we encourage you to bring a personal supply as well. Its use is recommended between climbs, before eating or drinking anything, after touching your face, etc.

Gear

We clean all equipment including shoes, helmets, and harnesses prior to each trip.

Education

All of our guides are thoroughly educated on COVID-19 risk management techniques and have been empowered to make any necessary adjustments or decisions before and during our trips. Any guide who shows symptoms of COVID-19 will perform a COVID-19 test and self-quarantine until negative results are received.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel because you think you may have contracted COVID-19 or are showing symptoms of COVID-19 please let us know as soon as possible, even if that's just before your meeting time. You will be refunded except for a $100 fee, which we will happily apply to a future reservation for you. Please understand that even with these precautions in place, there is a chance that we will need to cancel your reservation in the event of an increase in local COVID-19 cases, forest closure, or illness amongst our team. If we have to cancel your trip due to any of these situations you will receive a full refund or we can reschedule. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences, but safety is always #1.

Communication

Our guides will take the initiative at the beginning of your trip to let everyone know what is expected and how to maintain a safe environment. Please do not hesitate to ask questions at any time if you have any concerns.
